Basics of Babymassage
These are classes to consider doing after the birth, with your baby. They are particularly beneficial during a baby’s first three month
If you look the developpment of babies senses during pregnancy, the first one developped is the sens of touching. Very early, at the age of 12 weeks.
From this moment on your child will feel everything, what touches him as well as everything what he touches himself.
Just like this and by that, communication starts between your baby and you. Your baby moves and instinctively you put your hand on your belly. Or you or your partner will put the hand on your belly and as a reaction on that, your baby starts to move.
If this happens very often and regular, your child will learn this and knows exactly how to get in touch and how to communicate with you.Et voilà,
basics of bonding and attachment are starting.
Touching is a human need, condition for a normal developpment for body and soul. It is the language of love! ( Frederic Leboyer)
After the birth, touching stays as important as during pregnancy.
Babymassage will be relaxing for mum,dad and baby. Everybody will be stressed from time to time. You, as new parents, because you don't know always what to do. Your baby because he needs to get used to this new environment.(cf pregnancy)
So taking time out together, charing a very nice moment, teaches baby how to relax and parents relax at the same time. Like one can pick up the stress from the other, relaxing can be transfered the same way.
You can massage your baby in the
first days after the birth. This will be mostly stroking, holding your baby, sometimes also a real massage. Always if you do this in a calm way and with a lot of love, you can not do something wrong.
More often and regular you do this, more you used to this and quiker both of you will relax. Just like this everybody will profit from this intensiv and beautiful time.
Babymassage can be a good opportunity for the father to make the relation ship, the bonding between him and his baby, stronger. Often only coming home in the evening, mum is breast feeding and all the time together with the baby,all this can it make difficult for him to find his place in the family. By doing the massage very regular, the baby realy waits for his father to come home and to pass this wonderful moment together.

When to do the massage? What are the best conditions? How long, how often and how much?
Which oil to choose?
While you massage your baby, i will do the massage on my doll.
You do the massage just how you feel it and i will guide you a little bit. I will show you what they like and what is important to know by doing a massage of a newborn baby.
You will let youself be led by the love you feel for your baby. Taking time to let the feelings flow and living this strong moment makes it so intensif!!
Beside this i show you how to do the massage in case of colliques, stress, restlessness and problems to make the baby fall asleep. Here some little techniques of reflexologie can be helpfull.
But the most important will always be this intensive time , this strong feeling of bonding and attachment!!
Babymassage and Yogaexercices
These are classes to consider from the age of three month.
This is a real technique for the massage of the whole body, very complet and quit intensively.
Your baby starts to be fitter and is used and adapted to his new world around him.
Now the objective is to stimulate him in his motor as well than in his spiritually development.
Don't forget that your child is leying down, nearly always in the same position during several month.
It is realy difficult for him to move his body.
Imagine yourself in his body, how wonerful a massage woul be for you.How great it would be to be moved and stretched.
Because of that the Ayurveda Massage of the whole body and the Yogaexercices are so important.
Benefits of Babymassage
Massage helps your baby to get to know better his body. Like this motricity is stimulated. He learns, to feel his body in the spac and by that his balance will be better. It increases the body consciousness.It sharpes all the senses.
Developpment of the synapses ( links between the nervs, who are mostly developped during the first year), is the most stimulated by touching your baby. Making the two parts of the brain connecting together is influenced by that in an important way.
Beside this massage stimulates vascularisation, lymp flow and digestion. Massage of the chestliberates spannings, like this your baby can breath deeper and more relaxed.
In generalit liberates a lot of spannings in the complet body, favours by that the sleep. It teaches your baby very early, what meens moments of relaxing and peace mean.this is important not to underestimate in our stressful world today!
But the most important will always be this intensiv, amazing contact you will have with your baby during the massage. You will feel a connection with your child what influences your relationship in a high mesure!!
The Yoga is a lot of streching and crossing exercices.
After lying during month and being most of the time in the same position, it is so important to stretch his body.
Crossing exercices stimulates the connection of the two parts of the brain. This is the basic for coordination and doing several things in the right order.Basic for learning of reading and writing, left and right...
It stimulates concentration ( once your child becomes older and goes to scool).
Practical run off
During the first 3 classes i will show you in steps the technique of the massage.
I will show you how to do it on my doll and you do it on your baby. Every time we will repeat from the beginning so that you remmber it more easily.
Class number 4 you will learn how to do the yoga exercices, always only after having done the massage, because the body needs to warm up first. Those are a little bit more complicated. But because we will repeat everything, massage and exercices, in class number 5, you will recognise the logic behind and you will be ready to do it on your own.
We will do 1-2 classes per week so that you have time to repeat at home.
The aim is doing massage and exercices so often, that you don't need to think about what you need to do. You know the technique sou well that you can forget it again. Like this you can be totaly with your child and enjoy this magical moment.
